Ol Pejeta's Chimpanzee Sanctuary and the rare northern wildlife of Samburu on a four-day safari from Nairobi.
This safari takes you north of Nairobi to two very different reserves. At Sweetwaters in Ol Pejeta Conservancy you stay at a tented camp around a waterhole and game drive across a 110,000-acre private reserve that is also home to the Chimpanzee Sanctuary. You then spend two nights in Samburu National Reserve, where arid savannahs along the Uaso Nyiro River support species found only north of the equator, including Grevy's zebra, reticulated giraffe, Beisa oryx and gerenuk, as well as leopards, lions and elephants.

Day-by-Day Itinerary
After a briefing, drive to Sweetwaters Tented Camp, a sheltered oasis clustered around a waterhole, arriving for lunch. In the afternoon, game drive across the 110,000-acre private reserve, site of the Chimpanzee Sanctuary and home to giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, elephants, oryx and eland. Dinner and overnight (L, D).
Drive to Samburu, a wild and rugged reserve watered by the Uaso Nyiro River, arriving for lunch. Spend your time on game drives in search of leopards, lions, elephants, gerenuk, Grevy's zebras, reticulated giraffes and oryx. All meals and overnights at your lodge or camp (B, L, D).
After breakfast, game drive out of the reserve and return to Nairobi for your airport transfer (B).
Accommodation: Sweetwaters Tented Camp (1 night) and a lodge or camp in Samburu (2 nights), or similar.
