The open landscape and short vegetation make wildlife easier to spot, with good chances of elephants, lions, leopards, buffaloes, zebras, giraffes and ostriches, plus more than 400 bird species. You also see Mudanda Rock, the Yatta Plateau, Lugard Falls and the Aruba Dam. Pick-ups are available from hotels, Mombasa port, beach resorts and the airport, and you travel in a private safari vehicle with a pop-up roof for viewing and photography.

Day-by-Day Itinerary
Early pick-up from your hotel and briefing, then drive to Tsavo East for a morning game drive past Mudanda Rock, the Yatta Plateau and Lugard Falls, looking for elephants, lions, leopards, crocodiles, waterbuck, kudu, gerenuk and Hunter's hartebeest. Lunch at a safari lodge or camp, then an afternoon game drive before returning to your hotel in the evening (L).
