Three days in the Maasai Mara and a Rift Valley finale at Lake Nakuru, starting with a night in Nairobi.
This six-day safari gives you time to settle into the Maasai Mara, with three nights in the reserve for unhurried morning and afternoon game drives in search of the Big Five, black-maned lions, cheetahs and, from July to October, the wildebeest migration. The journey continues to Lake Nakuru, a Rift Valley soda lake and rhino sanctuary known for flocks of lesser flamingos and the endangered Rothschild's giraffe. With an arrival night in Nairobi, a private Land Cruiser and full board on safari, it is one of our most popular Kenya itineraries.

Day-by-Day Itinerary
Meet-and-greet on arrival and transfer to a Nairobi hotel for the night. Dinner is not included.
Drive to the Maasai Mara, a must-see for any Kenya safari, arriving in time for lunch. An afternoon game drive follows in search of the Big Five, zebras, giraffes, hyenas, gazelles and the reserve's famous lions. Dinner and overnight at the lodge (B, L, D).
Two full days of morning and afternoon game drives in an ecosystem with one of the highest lion densities in the world and, in season, millions of migrating wildebeest, zebras and gazelles. Watch for lion prides, hippos and cheetahs on the plains. All meals and overnights at the lodge (B, L, D).
Drive to Lake Nakuru, arriving for lunch. The afternoon game drive offers chances to see black and white rhinos, Rothschild's giraffes, lions, leopards, hippos, waterbuck and colobus monkeys, as well as the lake's flamingos. Dinner and overnight at the lodge (B, L, D).
After breakfast, drive back to Nairobi for your airport transfer (B).
Accommodation: Nairobi hotel (1 night, bed and breakfast), Maasai Mara lodge (3 nights) and Lake Nakuru lodge (1 night), or similar.
