Shimba Hills National Reserve in Kwale County covers about 300 sq km of rolling grassland and coastal rainforest, with views across to the Indian Ocean. It is home to Kenya's last breeding herd of rare sable antelopes, along with elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, impalas, black and white colobus monkeys and migratory birds. This day trip combines game viewing with lunch at a tree lodge overlooking a waterhole and a guided walk down to Sheldrick Falls. It is a short drive from Mombasa and Diani and can also be extended to two days.

Day-by-Day Itinerary
Pick-up from your hotel and briefing, then drive to Shimba Hills National Reserve. Game drive in search of sable antelopes, elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, colobus monkeys and birdlife. Lunch at a tree lodge overlooking a waterhole, followed by a guided walk to Sheldrick Falls. Return to your hotel in the afternoon.
Overnight: No overnight stay. Can be extended to two days on request.
