Tsavo East is one of Kenya's largest and oldest national parks, a vast wilderness of open plains famous for its red-dust elephants. On this overnight safari from Mombasa you explore landmarks such as Mudanda Rock, the Yatta Plateau (one of the world's longest lava flows), Lugard Falls on the Galana River and the Aruba Dam, which draws hundreds of animals to drink. You stay at Ashnil Aruba Lodge near the dam and enjoy afternoon and early-morning game drives in search of lions, leopards, buffaloes, gerenuk, lesser kudu and around 500 bird species.

Day-by-Day Itinerary
Meet-and-greet and safari briefing, then drive to Tsavo East, renowned for its light and views. Look for Mudanda Rock, the Yatta Plateau and Lugard Falls, as well as the Big Five, waterbuck, kudu, gerenuk, zebras and Hunter's hartebeest. Lunch at Ashnil Aruba Lodge, then an afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight at the lodge (L, D).
An early-morning game drive, then breakfast at the lodge and the drive back to Mombasa for drop-off at your hotel (B).
